Pine Valley Days 7/25/15

After months of work making jewelry, we finally took all my wares to the Pine Valley Days craft show. It was a very nice day, not too hot as it usually is. Joanne and Vivian both volunteered to help me pack up, set up and stay all day to try and sell my jewelry and glassware. I really appreciated their help. Dennis also helped setting up and taking down the canopies and hauling all the stuff back and forth. It takes a lot of work to do the craft show.

Here are some pictures:

Dinner with Friends and Family

Yesterday I made a Lemon-Zucchini bread to serve as dessert for tonight's dinner. Mom was here and Uncle Johnny and Bill Cooper. Dennis marinated sirloin steak which he barbequed and then cut in strips to serve. I boiled some red potatoes and Dennis smashed, seasoned and baked them in the oven. I chopped up some red, yellow, orange and green peppers which Dennis seasoned and we served as a salad.

After dinner we served the Lemon-Zucchini bread as dessert along with a side of berries and whipped cream. Yum.

The Lemon-Zucchini bread and the potatoes were recipes I found on Facebook. They were delicious.

Movie Tuesday

Antman starring Paul Rudd with Michael Douglas got a 92% audience approval rate. I think they liked it because it was quirky and funny. We liked it, too, although it wasn't on my list of greatest movies of all time.

Crackle

Betsy and I went to Blue Dolphin Stained Glass for a class in making crackle glass. I'll have to make some pieces so I can post what it looks like. It was lots of fun. While there (in San Diego) it started to pour rain. We almost dropped our glass when a clap of thunder sounded so loud we thought there was a crash across the street. It must have been a very close lightning strike.

Driving home we could see very dark clouds end just as we entered East County. Then it was sunny again. We stopped for a frozen yogurt in Alpine before going home. What a fun day.
