Little Bug

Little Bug is making progress. I petted him twice today, once picking him up and once just petting him while he was lying in the cat bed. Tonight I looked at the cat cam and Little Bug was playing with the other cats, so I guess he's feeling better about being captured.

Movie Tuesday

We saw Saving Mr. Banks today. I thought Tom Hanks was great as Walt Disney, who had been trying to get the rights to the Mary Poppins book for 20 years. The author, P. L. Travers, refused to sign over the rights and despised the kinds of movies Disney made. Mom and I enjoyed the movie, but Dennis was less enthusiastic.

Bead Class

I started an intermediate bead making class last night, leaving the new Downton Abbey half-watched. When I got home, around 9:40, Dennis and I finished watching the program. There will be 8 classes held at night at the Blue Dolphin classroom. Dennis and I took the beginning class a couple of years ago, but didn't really follow up. We do have a bead-making station in the shop in front of the glass shop but we've never used it. I'll be using it now.

Downton Abbey Marathon

We almost made it. We have only the last chapter to watch before we start to watch the current Season 4 that recorded on Sunday.

People who post pictures of their food

I am one of those people other people scoff at...I like to post pictures of food. Here is the breakfast Dennis surprised us with this morning...Popovers filled with fresh fruit and topped with whipped cream. Is it any wonder I am not losing weight?

He delivered the same breakfast to Mom.

Johnny's Birthday Photos

I forgot to put these photos in the post about Uncle Johnny's 97th Birthday dinner on Dec. 29, 2013. We surprised him. He thought he was having dinner with his niece, Barbara (and wondered why she was taking him to Mister A's). When he walked in, we were sitting at the table waiting for him.

Johnny, happily surprised.

The taming of Little Bug

We've made great progress with Little Bug. From a spitting, scratching and biting (ouch) wild thing to a little kitten who will stand for us petting him. He doesn't (always) run from us anymore but I can tell he is one wrong move from "outta here"!

Sammy has volunteered to be his friend and companion. Sammy loves us and may have some influence. Bug also likes the kitten, but Bug only tolerates us so I'd rather Little Bug spend time with Sammy. So far, so good.
