No T.R.O.T.

It was drippy, cloudy and very cold this morning, so we cancelled T.R.O.T. until we have better weather.

Instead, I spent the day indoors again working on beading projects. I strung beads for a bead crochet necklace I'm making and I started stringing beads for a lariat necklace.

Rainy Day

As predicted, it rained pretty much all day today. I'm hoping it will be sunny tomorrow so I can go on a trail ride. It might be too muddy, though, so ....

The weather prediction is for rain today, sun tomorrow, and rain again Friday and Saturday.

I worked on beading today, finishing a Christmas theme necklace and earrings.

No Movie Tuesday

We've seen everything worth seeing at the movies and some not worth it. So today, with still nothing worth while to watch, we went to dinner instead. Uncle Johnny had suggested we go the the Spaghetti Factory, a family favorite, so that's what we did.

Mom and I drove down to Rancho San Diego to give blood in the afternoon, then we met Dennis and Uncle Johnny at Johnny's house and drove to the restaurant downtown just in time for the doors to open. We enjoyed an early dinner the way old folks do and then came home.

A nice outing.

Cake

On Easter Sunday we forgot to take any photos--of the dinner or of the dessert. Last night we had leftover cake, so I took this photo. We bought the cake at the European Cake Gallery (http://www.europeancakegallery.com) on Voltaire Street in Point Loma. Although they are famous for their black forest cakes, we chose a Bavarian cream with strawberries and shaved white chocolate on top. Yum.

Beading

I spent the morning finishing the bead crochet bracelet I've been working on.

Then I separated out the beads I strung for a project so I could put them away.


























Before I start another project, I'm going to take Flash for a walk.

Easter Sunday

Dennis and I celebrated Easter Sunday morning by making these black bean chicken cha siu baos. Yum.

Later we are going to Mom's for pasta dinner. We're bringing a cake for dessert.

War Horse

Dennis downloaded War Horse on Apple TV and we're watching it tonight.
