We just had leftover turkey and fixings in the form of hot turkey sandwiches, mashed potatoes and the cranberries we forgot to put out on Thanksgiving. It was very good. Yum. Now we're watching How to Train Your Dragon 2 which we downloaded from Directv. Later we'll finish up the pie.
Otherwise, it's been a normal Sunday except I tripped over Dot and fell on my arm and butt in the dining room. Tile is very hard.
Right now Dot is chasing Flash around the living room. Hope she wears out soon.

Thanksgiving
We had a quiet Thanksgiving this year...only Dennis, Mom and me. We fixed a turkey breast in the crock pot and had mashed potatoes, broccoli, and hot rolls with it. Dennis cooked everything, which was a treat for Mom and me. We bought a berry and an apple pie for dessert.
Movie Last Tuesday
So last week we saw Jon Stewart's movie, Rosewater, depicting the arrest and imprisonment of journalist Maziar Bahari in Iran. We thought the movie was well done, if a bit slow at the beginning. Aside from the terrible ordeal of Bahari, the movie illustrates a slice of life in Iran that we ordinarily would not see.

Movie Tuesday
You probably don't want to see Interstellar despite all the excellent reviews (there are bad reviews also). I'll tell you why I didn't like the movie: The music is LOUD--so loud you can't hear what the actors are saying. It hurt my ears and I couldn't get over the morose music blasting and taking over the content of the movie. It shook our seats, which I imagine it was supposed to do to make it realistic. It ruined the movie in my opinion.
Science buffs will probably enjoy the movie for all the glitz, but I found the premise depressing. Earth is dying (remember climate change?) and a farmer (former engineer/pilot) flies a spaceship through a wormhole searching for a planet suitable for human life. There was some thought of sending people there to live, but ... well that's a spoiler.

Dot's 1st Training Day
On Friday, Nov. 7. Dot had her first training day at Rachel's house. We learned how dominant she is by watching her with M'Liss's schnauzer, Max. Max learned to avoid her and play with the whippets instead. That was fine with Dot.
Our homework was Come, Scoot, Submit to being held and brushed, and Wait. She did pretty well.
