Mike and Lena's Wedding

Sunday, Sept. 2, was Mike and Lena Martinico's wedding, held at the Mt. Woodson Castle in Ramona (http://mtwoodsoncastle.com). It was a beautiful wedding with a Jewish ceremony. We were happy to see our relatives again and to meet Linda's brothers--finally, after all these years.

San Francisco

Last week Dennis and I spend a few days in San Francisco to celebrate our 31st wedding anniversary. Wow, that's a lot. We had a really good time doing some new things and revisiting some favorites. Something new was the Magic Bus. We were uncertain about what this was before we got there, but were pleasantly surprised by the experience. We got on a psychedelically painted bus and waited to see what would happen. Turned out this was a revisiting of the 1960s. While the bus was taking us "somewhere," we saw some films about the '60s in San Francisco on screens that were pulled down over the windows. Then the bus stopped at a location showing what the area looks like now. We had a fun time.

We also visited some places we enjoyed before: Mamma's on Washington Square for breakfast; the wharf for shopping; and Beach Blanket Babylon, a political play we've seen twice before but which changes all the time.

She's ba-ack

It's been a hard few weeks for Mom. But, after three trips to Urgent Care and a couple of nights in the hospital, she's finally getting her old self back. (Who said "old?") We are very much relieved that she's finally feeling better. Love you, Mom.
